DUBLIN, CA - Feb. 20, 2007 -The School of Imagination announced today its inaugural launch as a premier preschool in the Amador Valley. The School of Imagination is built on the award-winning methodology of the Happy Talkers program established in 2000. The new school provides individualized programs that are tailored to the care and learning needs of each student. The time-tested programs combined with the lowest teacher to student ratio in the Tri-Valley area, allow each child to develop the skills and confidence to succeed in all educational settings.
Charlene Sigman, founder of The School of Imagination, is an industry-pioneer in the field of education "“ creating a school that is designed to meet the needs of all children. In 2006, she received the prestigious Jefferson Award. The Jefferson Awards were established in 1972 by Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, U.S. Senator Robert Taft, Jr. and Sam Beard as a Nobel Prize that honors individuals for extraordinary public and community service.
"We are thrilled to be able to expand our reach in the Tri-Valley and build on our vision of creating a school that meets the needs of all children," said Charlene Sigman, founder of Happy Talkers and the School of Imagination. "It has been a team effort between our teachers, therapists, parents and community to make our school a reality. We look forward to building on our success of Happy Talkers to make the School of Imagination a center that fosters creativity, fun and scholastic achievement for each and every student."
The School of Imagination’s innovative method to learning brings out the extraordinary in every student. The adaptive programs are customized to meet each student’s individual needs to ensure a successful and enriched learning experience.
Support for parents is one of the touchstones of the School of Imagination’s approach. This support enhances the educational experience of students and provides the right services for each family. The school gives parents the peace of mind that comes from knowing their children are being taught, guided and cared for by highly trained and caring teachers. Because parental involvement is a key component in student motivation and success, daily parent/teacher communication is an essential ingredient to the success of students and the school.
"We have two children attending the School of Imagination and each has very different learning styles and needs," said Marilyn Weinstein, parent of School of Imagination. "The staff adapts the course work to each of our children’s ability and level of performance which allows each to flourish. We have formed a true partnership with the teachers to ensure the best learning experience for our kids that allow them to shine as individuals."
