Corporate Responsibility Roundtable on Trends and Best Practices

August 7, 2007 - Addison, a creative services company specializing in strategic business and investor communications, is co-hosting a second roundtable with SustainAbility, a consultancy focused on corporate responsibility (CR) and sustainable development, to inform corporate CR reporters on trends and best practices.

This interactive roundtable will provide a complete overview of CR reporting including:
Evolution & Growth, Guidelines & Standards, Key Trends, Strategic Phases, Effective Design and Communications, and Keys to Success.

When CR communication is done well, it focuses on a company's most material issues--and uncovers business risks, performance gaps and opportunities for innovation. This information can enhance daily operations and improve long-term business strategies. Externally, strong CR communications build reputation and brand value by providing clear, consistent and frank information to customers, consumers, investors, thought leaders and other stakeholders.

Presenters will be Judy Sandford, CR Strategist and Richard Colbourne, Creative Director both from Addison; along with Katie Fry Hester, Manager-Engaging Stakeholders, and Michael Sadowski, Manager-Client Services, from SustainAbility. The moderator will be Eliott Saltzman, SVP at Addison.

Roundtable Details

The event will be held on Wednesday, September 26, 2007 from 8:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. in Lower Manhattan at the Digital Sandbox, 55 Broad Street, New York, NY. A networking breakfast and lunch will be served. The registration fee is $150.

Corporate responsibility, investor relations and marketing communications officers at Fortune 1000 companies may RSVP by e-mailing jsandford@addison.com or calling Judy Sandford at (212) 229-5082. Space is limited to 25 participants.

Attendees of Addison and SustainAbility's first CR Roundtable had great things to say about the event. Maggie Kohn, Director, Corporate Responsibility Communications at Merck & Co. Inc. commented, "The CR Roundtable was fantastic! It was valuable to learn about reporting solutions and tools-in particular those for determining issues of materiality. It was also interesting to hear from other CR professionals who are facing the same challenges I am. I also walked away with ideas for how to make the design of our next report more impactful."

"What a great use of time!" said Jay Mandel, Internet Marketing Manager for CIT Group Inc. "The CR Roundtable helped me think about how to move forward with our reporting strategy. The '7 Phases of Design' is a really useful framework-all the content was just excellent!"
