- February 10, 2009 - Rumsey Engineers today announced that Peter Rumsey has received the highest honor of Fellow from the American Society of Heating, Refrigeration, and Air Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE). Fellow ASHRAE is a membership grade that recognizes distinction in the arts and sciences of environmental technology. The honor is earned through achievement as a researcher, designer, educator or engineering executive. Mr. Rumsey was honored at ASHRAE's 2009 Winter conference held in Chicago on January 24-29.  

"In recognizing one of the finest mechanical engineers I know, ASHRAE is both bestowing a richly deserved honor and emphasizing how design integration can achieve radical energy efficiency, to the broad advancement of the profession and the public interest," said Amory B. Lovins, Chairman and Chief Scientist of Rocky Mountain Institute, where Mr. Rumsey is also a Senior Fellow.
