BURLINGAME, Calif. - April 3, 2009 - Sustainable Life Media today announced the Sustainable Brands '09 lineup for 12 half-day, in-depth workshops that will provide hands-on training in brand and operational areas such as Scenario Planning and Preserving Brand Equity in Acquisition. One of the workshops will also be a step-by-step overview on how to define and communicate a green brand with Office Depot's Director of Environmental StartegyYalmaz Siddiqui.

The Sustainable Brands Conference is the preeminent international conference for discussing the rapid rise of sustainability as a driver for revenue growth and brand equity in the 21st century. Representatives from Adidas, Coca-cola, Darden Restaurants, FritoLay, HP, Johnson & Johnson, Kendall Jackson, Kraft, Nestle, SC Johnson, Saucony and many many more are already registered to attend, as participants continue to line up at a pace tracking somewhat ahead of ’08.

The workshops are aimed at those looking for practical tactics and insights that equip sustainability managers and implementers with the processes that enhance success, even in spite of economic constraints. A limited number of complimentary workshop passes have been set aside for conference alumni who register for the conference.

"We have created a full day of workshops to follow the three days of plenary and breakout sessions so that attendees are able to dig deeper into the tactical dimension of what they learned," said KoAnn Vikoren Skrzyniarz, CEO of Sustainable Life Media. "Our goal is to help brand leaders make sense of the cultural shifts underway and build the strategies and skills necessary to navigate today's challenging environment."

"We encourage everyone to save money by taking advantage of our early registration pricing, which ends on 4/3, as well as our current incentive of one free hotel room night* at the conference hotel," Ms. Skrzyniarz continued. "And for an additional $20-30 our sponsor Nexterra will offset your carbon footprint associated with attending."

The conference agenda is fully booked with three full days of plenary and breakout sessions, as well as the new full day of hands-on workshops. Speakers from companies like Living Homes, New Belgium Brewery, RecycleBank and Terracycle, as well as large global innovators like Clorox, Kaiser Permanente, Dell and PepsiCo will be attending to inspire and equip attendees to succeed by responding to growing stakeholder demand for more environmentally and socially innovative product and service solutions.
