LOS ANGELES, CA/PHOENIX, AZ, - June 25, 2008 - Scott L. Mitchell, Chairman and CEO of OCEG, will present a keynote address at Interact 2008, a premiere conference hosted by Mitratech, a leading provider of matter management, compliance, and security solutions to the world's largest organizations.
Mr. Mitchell's presentation, Driving Principled Performance: A Framework for Measuring and Evaluating GRC Capability, will address the OCEG GRC Capability Model, a process framework that helps organizations to align governance, compliance and risk management (GRC) activities; determine whether initiatives are delivering business value; and optimize performance. OCEG, a nonprofit think tank, has recently updated the GRC Capability Model with input from over 200 experts and it will undergo public review and comment during the summer of 2008. Participants at Interact 2008 will be getting an early view of Version 2.0 of the final Model.
Mr. Mitchell also will bring GRC leadership insight as the moderator of an Interact 2008 panel discussion entitled, Moving to the Next Level of Your Compliance Program. This session brings together Martin T.Biegelman, CFE and Director, Financial Integrity, Microsoft Corporation; Howard Fields, Deputy Chief Compliance Officer and Senior Counsel, GE Commercial Finance; and Janice Innis-Thompson, SVP and Chief Compliance Officer, TIAA-CREF to discuss effective compliance strategies designed to drive ethical, legal, and agile operations while supporting business growth.
"OCEG has provided the compliance industry with the standards, guidelines, and resources to improve GRC activities and enhance corporate culture," said Dan Welch, Mitratech's Senior Vice President of Sales and Operations. "Interact 2008 attendees will receive tremendous value from the OCEG Principled Performance(TM) management discipline and will be better informed on strategies to integrate and elevate GRC processes."
"I am very pleased to participate in Interact 2008 to share the details of OCEG's GRC Capability Model Version 2.0, which will have been released just before the conference, after extensive public exposure review," said Mr. Mitchell. "Mitratech has participated along with the top experts in governance, compliance, risk management, audit, finance and IT to help OCEG improve the GRC Capability Model and has provided valuable input to OCEG's IT Blueprint(TM) which we will also share with the conference attendees."
