SAN BERNARDINO, CA, December 11, 2007 /PRNewswire/ -- The Mu Xi Lambda Chapter of the Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. today announced the start of its year-end donation and sponsorship drive. The fund-raising campaign is being facilitated in support of the Chapter's 2008 "In The Community Campaign," a youth-focused community-based initiative. Founded in 1906, Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. is the nation's leading organization providing prominent African-American male leadership. As a priority, the Mu Xi Lambda Chapter leverages its 501c3 non-profit designation to serve male youth and young adults of African descent. On a broader scope, the Chapter facilitates ongoing outreach to the Inland Empire's multi-ethnic student population at-large.

Since its formation in 1977, the Mu Xi Lambda Chapter has been active in the Inland Empire by providing leadership development and mentoring assistance via the Fraternity's national and local initiatives.
