Executive Nominating Committee has named six mobility engineering
professionals as Director Nominees for SAE's 2009 Board of Directors.

The Director Nominees are:

Airways;

-- Laura E. Hitchcock, Senior Standards Specialist, External Standards
Management, Strategy & Policy, The Boeing Company;

-- Andris (Andy) Lacis, Vice President, BTG Systems Inc.;

-- Ronald Matthews, Professor, Mechanical Engineering, University of
Texas-Austin;

-- Mark Pope, Service & Parts Operation Senior Project Engineer,
General Motors;

-- Gregory E. Saunders, Director, Defense Standardization Program
Office, U.S. Department of Defense.

A formal vote on all nominees will be held in November. If elected, the
nominees will begin their terms on the SAE International Board of
Directors in January 2009.
