SAN JOSE,WEST COAST GREEN. - September 23, 2008 "“ Agilewaves, a leading provider of resource conservation technology solutions for homes and businesses, today announced that its award-winning Resource Monitor(TM) is installed in West Coast Green's 2008 Showhouse - the SG Blocks "Harbinger House," designed by Lawrence Group. Conference attendees can see a demo of the Resource Monitor in action, and how it can track all of the Showhouse's conditions, including gas, electricity and water use in each room, in real time. Agilewaves' CEO Peter Sharer will also participate in a panel on Friday, September 26 on the value of dashboards and real-time feedback for driving behavior change around conservation of natural resources. West Coast Green is the nation's largest green building, business and design conference.

The Showhouse that displays the Agilewaves Resource Monitor is a state-of-the-art, fully functioning 1,700 sq ft two-story house that is made of reused shipping containers, and constructed using the greenest processes, practices and materials on the market. After West Coast Green, the Showhouse will travel to other tradeshows -- ULI in Miami and then EcoBuild America in DC -- before it is permanently housed in a green community. The Resource Monitor's sensors can measure and display real-time information about consumption of electricity, water and gas in dollars, kWh and carbon weights on a web page. This enables users to understand the environmental implications of their behavior from room-to-room and even down to the circuit or appliance and set goals for reduction of resource consumption over time. Research has shown that real-time feedback is proven to reduce consumption by at least 10-15% and often far exceeding 20%. By using an Agilewaves Resource Monitor, homes earn LEED and Green Point credits.

The Resource Monitor is also able to monitor and display indoor air quality, energy input from solar panels and wind turbines and it is the only solution with the technical capability to monitor living roofs and geo-thermal systems in both residential and commercial buildings.

Agilewaves' Panel Presentation
Agilewaves' CEO Peter Sharer will present alongside Natural Logic's CEO Gil Friend and Warren Karlenzig, President of Common Current on Friday, September 26 at 1:30 p.m. PT about the benefits of real-time feedback and sustainability dashboards in buildings, communities and regions. Session highlights will include how to create high-performance buildings, communities and regions; sustainability indicators; how to get high-quality information and an interactive debate and Q&A session.

Agilewaves can also be found at Booth V2 in the Sustainable Industries Innovation Pipeline area of West Coast Green.
