EDISON, N.J. - March 18, 2009 - Crossing Media Group today announced that it has been honored with ringing the closing bell and signing out the NASDAQ Stock Exchange on Thursday March 19, 2009. The NASDAQ is recognizing Crossing Media Group for its publication of CRO Magazine's 100 Best Corporate Citizens List. The 100 Best Corporate Citizens List in its 10th year of publication has been managed and published by CRO Magazine since 2007. "The 100 Best Corporate Citizens List ranks the Russell 1000 on various measures of corporate citizenship and uses only publicly available data and is therefore the ultimate measure of transparency in an era where it is sorely needed" says Jay Whitehead, President and Publisher of Crossing Media Group. According to Elliot Clark, CEO and Chairman of Crossing Media Group, "We want to bring light to the issue of corporate responsibility and its pressing social relevance is all around us in the current economic environment. We wanted to create a listing where some of the largest companies could be rated for their behaviors. Ironically we discovered that the 100 Best Citizen companies have outperformed the S&P 500 by 26% showing there may be link between solid citizenship and sound management practices." The rating system this year was developed with input from the leadership of the CRO Association Board of Governors, an organization committed to promoting the work of Corporate Responsibility Officers (www.thecro.com). The NASDAQ closing bell ceremonies are shown live March 19 on CNBC at 3:56PM EDT: or by live web cast at http://www.nasdaq.com/about/marketsitetowervideo.asx.
