(CSRwire) DOVER, MA - September 24, 2008 - Dr. Mark Albion announced today the initial roll-out of an unprecedented publishing distribution program for his October 1, 2008 book, More Than Money: Questions Every MBA Needs to Answer, available today on Amazon.
The former Harvard Business School student and professor offers four questions and twelve principles to help MBAs develop a "destiny plan" for a fulfilling life and successful career. The key insight is that what you thought were your safest career decisions may actually be the riskiest, when you acknowledge that your fulfillment and success will be determined as much by what you give to others as you get for yourself.
After highly enthusiastic reviews of early drafts by MBAs, Social Venture Network (SVN) member company Berrett-Koehler generously decided to make the PDF file available at no cost to MBA programs through September. As BK executive managing editor, Jeevan Sivasubramaniam noted, "It is only at its draft stage and Mark Albion's More Than Money is causing quite a stir in grad student circles. I have never had so many inquiries and requests to review a single book before."
Distribution began August 25th, with 9 of the top 10 and 17 of the top 20 U.S. business schools offering the PDF version to their entire student body. The first day, BK's head of digital community building, David Marshall, observed, "Wow. 1127 visits to the business school download page on Monday. Biggest spike in months."
Career officers have been enthusiastic as well. As a University of Chicago MBA officer commented: "I just read your book in one sitting! I couldn't put it down. As I read, particular students flashed through my mind. I will continue to ponder many of the questions you have offered."
