MIAMI, Feb. 5 /PRNewswire/ ?- Campero USA Corp., the U.S. affiliate of Pollo Campero, the leading chain of chicken quick service restaurants from Latin America, is proud to announce it has made another $5,000 donation to the Make-A-Wish Foundation in celebration of the new Pollo Campero restaurant grand opening in Cutler Bay, Florida. This is the third Pollo Campero restaurant to open in Florida since it entered the state in 2008, with more to come in the near future. Campero USA plans to make additional donations of $5,000 at the grand opening of select restaurants in the United States through 2009.

Campero USA's Director of Philanthropy and Public Relations Patty Gutierrez presented a $5,000 check to the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Southern Florida during the grand opening of the Pollo Campero restaurant in Cutler Bay, Florida, on January 28, 2009.

"We are pleased to continue our commitment to children's causes, particularly the Make-A-Wish Foundation, and to have the opportunity to give back to the communities in which we live and work. The children that Make-A-Wish helps have so many worries and difficult obstacles to overcome, and the incredible people at Make-A-Wish provide these children with hope and happiness by making their wishes come true," said Ms. Gutierrez. "The Make-A-Wish Foundation has such a positive effect on these children and their families, and we are honored to have the opportunity to financially assist this organization and bring joy to children with life-threatening medical conditions across the United States. As the parent of a son who recently had his wish granted by Make-A-Wish, I have seen first-hand how important this organization is, and words cannot describe the tremendous impact Make-A-Wish has on the children it helps and their families."

"We are thrilled to have the support and financial assistance of Pollo Campero and Campero USA," said Norman Wedderburn, President and CEO of Make-A-Wish Foundation of Southern Florida. "These donations will be instrumental in helping us continue with our mission to grant the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy."

Starting from modest beginnings in Guatemala, Pollo Campero has been actively involved in charitable causes, including those which are aimed at helping children, and has formed a strong commitment to support the community. Pollo Campero has made it a mission to support children's causes, particularly the fight against pediatric cancer, by financially backing the only children's pediatric cancer hospital in Guatemala and helping to organize fundraisers for a pediatric cancer charity, The Ayudame A Vivir Foundation.

"By making these donations to Make-A-Wish, we continue our worldwide commitment to giving back to the communities that have given so much to us. More importantly however, Campero USA can support one of the most honorable causes ?- granting the wish of a child stricken with a life-threatening condition by supporting one of the most charitable organizations in America," said Ms. Gutierrez.
