TORONTO, ONTARIO -- (MARKET WIRE) -- 03/04/09 -- Editors Note: There is a photo and a video associated with this Press Release.

Canadian independent filmmaker Casey Walker, who launched mymilliondollarmovie.com, a website dedicated to raising $1 million through the sale of individual film frames to fund his feature film project, a romantic comedy titled, Free For All But You, has announced that his film will be heading into production with a climate-neutral certification awarded by the not-for profit service, Planetair.

"This is a monumental designation as it opens new doors for environmentally- conscious individuals to become Producers, knowing that our mandate is to ensure we are positively contributing to the planet," said Walker.

People purchasing frames in the film will also get to choose which 'Green' organizations their profits from the film will go. Walker's own production company, Full Plate Productions will give profits to the David Suzuki Foundation and other causes.

Planetair is a not-for-profit service offered by the Unisfera International Centre, a non-profit organization dedicated to the advancement of sustainable development. Full Plate Productions is also partnered with 1% For The Planet, an organization that supports an alliance of businesses financially committed to creating a healthy planet.

According to Julian Lee, Director of Operations for Planetair, "We're excited to be associated with this innovative project. It goes to show that even small organizations can act to improve their environmental performance, and we congratulate Casey for having made such a commitment."

Additionally, Walker will be accepting Canadian Tire Money from the public to purchase frames (which cost $10 each). The money will be used to purchase environmentally friendly products at Canadian Tire for use during the film's production.

"Canadian Tire Money is a great way to for people to become involved with this project. We got the idea knowing that we would need several thousand dollars worth of environmentally friendly products for the production so why not support a Canadian retailer while making good use out of their currency," said Walker.

Walker's project recently gained additional momentum when Kevin Smith (Clerks, Zack & Miri, Chasing Amy), one of Hollywood's top directors became a producer on the project while visiting Toronto.

The site has attracted producers from around the globe including Canada, the United States, United Kingdom, Switzerland, Hungary, Brazil and Italy. Notable buyers include Netscape co-founder Bill Foss, Hollywood producer/director TJ Scott, Vice Chairman RES PUBLICA Consulting Group Andrew T. Molson, Canadian opera singer Russell Braun, and Martin Beauvais, Executive Creative Director, Zig.
