Covia Team Members are our most important asset and that’s why we’re committed to supporting them in every aspect of their lives. We recently announced the launch of the Covia Cares Emergency Relief Fund, administered by Emergency Assistance Foundation (EAF).

From advising on Canadian legislation to creating organization-wide environmental initiatives, I am appreciative for the experiences and opportunities Covia has encouraged me to pursue throughout my eight years with the company.

Throughout the year, several Covia locations supported pollinator populations by organizing Team Member and community awareness initiatives, maintaining on-site hives and pollinator-friendly gardens, and engaging with apiaries and local organizations.

Each year, Covia sites participate in a company-wide Safety Day. Held annually in September, this program supports our aspirational goal of achieving zero harm and increases awareness and knowledge of safety practices among our employees.

Covia’s commitment to ESG is reflected in our evolving suite of product offerings. We create products that are critical components in helping protect the planet and enhance peoples’ lives in many ways.

At Covia, Safety First is a core value. We take numerous steps to ensure that Safety and Health (S&H) remains a daily and consistent focus for our Team Members, contractors, vendors, suppliers, and customers.

Covia is the responsible steward of approximately 75,000 acres of land across our global footprint. Planning for responsible land use is embedded throughout the life cycle of our operations – from our careful approach to early development and operational planning.

As an organization, we have so much to be proud of and many accomplishments that need to be celebrated. The hard work, dedication, and teamwork that went into each program and initiative truly demonstrates how we are creating a strong, sustainable future for Covia.

On June 5, Covia’s Environmental Team hosted our annual virtual World Environment Day (WED) celebration, in alignment with the United Nations’ theme, #BeatPlasticPollution.
