Report Highlights

HP's FY07 Global Citizenship Report is now available on the company's website at www.hp.com/go/report. This comprehensive account of HP's global citizenship activities emphasizes three priority areas: climate and energy efficiency, supply chain responsibility, and product reuse and recycling.

HP’s major accomplishments include:
Through conducting 150 audits, HP found suppliers are making strong progress toward the same social and environmental standards HP holds itself to.
Nearly three years early, HP met its goal to reduce the annual energy consumption and associated greenhouse gas emissions of its operations and products sold each year to 20 percent below 2005 levels by 2010. HP has increased its target to 25 percent below 2005 emission levels by 2010.
HP exceeded its goal to recycle 1 billion pounds (450,000 tonnes) of electronic products and supplies by the end of 2007 and has pledged to recover another 1 billion pounds for reuse and recycling by the end of 2010.

The report describes how HP is meeting its commitment to global citizenship by conducting business with uncompromising integrity; engaging with diverse stakeholders; helping improve access to technology and education; developing sustainable products and services; and protecting the privacy of customers, partners and employees.

In addition, for greater accountability and transparency, HP has disclosed its list of top tier suppliers in this year’s report.
