The report details European Nickel's approach to health, safety, community relations and the environment and covers its activities in Turkey, the Philippines and Albania for the fiscal year 2007. The review aims to give material, accurate information about the Company's operations in a way that is easily understood and can provide a sound basis on which to assess its performance.

European Nickel is one of the few AIM-listed mining companies to produce a sustainability review. The review is also innovative in that the Company has not yet commenced full-scale mining operations.

Commenting on the review Simon Purkiss, Managing Director, said "The publishing of our first Corporate Sustainability Review is an important milestone in European Nickel's development as we transform from an explorer into a nickel producer."

"As a growing company we understand the importance of an ethical and responsible approach to mining. The approach and procedures that we establish now will help to ensure that our growth is sustainable and that we provide long-term benefits to all of our stakeholders - shareholders, employees and local communities alike."

European Nickel is an emerging mid-tier nickel laterite producer with over 50,000 tonnes of nickel production potential within five years. The Company's heap leach process offers a competitive advantage over conventional capital-intense methods of treating nickel laterites. The technology also emits fewer carbon dioxide emissions per tonne of nickel produced as well as zero liquid discharge.
