During the COVID-19 pandemic, the LGBTQ+ community has faced the loss of livelihoods, lack of access to critical life-affirming healthcare, increased domestic violence and social isolation as many of the organizations they count on for these services are on the brink of survival — setting the movement back decades. Many LGBTQ+ centers rely on Pride Month to raise awareness of their mission and funds to support their efforts.

In response, P&G teamed up with iHeartRadio to present Can’t Cancel Pride, in partnership with our brands Bounty, Braun, Charmin, Dawn, Downy, GilletteLabs, Metamucil, Pampers, Pantene, Tide, Venus and VÖOST Vitamins. Scroll down for details about Can’t Cancel Pride 2022.

In its first two years, Can’t Cancel Pride has raised over $8.3 million.

With the proceeds from Can’t Cancel Pride, CenterLink was able to able to provide $2,400 grants to more than 190 LGBTQ+ community centers and organizations, including the Shenandoah Valley LGBTQ Center led by Emily Sproul.

“With the support from Can't Cancel Pride, we've been able to come out of the pandemic back into reopening like we’ve been shot out of a pinball machine,” said Sproul, the organization’s executive director. Read and watch more.

In 2022, Can't Cancel Pride will distribute financial support raised by the event to LGBTQ+ organizations with a track record of positive impact and support of the LGBTQ+ community, including GLAAD, SAGE, The Trevor Project, the National Black Justice Coalition, CenterLink, and OutRight Action International.

As the leading LGBTQ media advocacy organization, GLAAD rewrites the script for LGBTQ acceptance. A dynamic media force, GLAAD tackles tough issues to shape the narrative and provoke dialogue that leads to cultural change. GLAAD protects all that has been accomplished and creates a world where everyone can live the life they love.

P&G partnered with GLAAD in 2020 to study the impact of LGBTQ+ inclusion in marketing and media. Click here to learn more.

SAGE’s mission is to lead in addressing issues related to LGBTQ+ aging. In partnership with constituents and allies, SAGE works to achieve a high quality of life for LGBTQ+ older adults, supports and advocates for their rights, fosters a greater understanding of aging in all communities, and promotes positive images of LGBTQ+ life in later years.

The Trevor Project

Every 45 seconds, an LGBTQ+ young person between the ages of 13 and 24 attempts suicide.

For more than 22 years, The Trevor Project has worked to save young lives through its 24/7, free, and confidential crisis intervention services. As a result, The Trevor Project is the world’s largest suicide prevention and crisis intervention organization for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer & Questioning (LGBTQ) young people.

National Black Justice Coalition

The National Black Justice Coalition envisions a world where all people are fully empowered to access public places and participate safely in family, faith, and community.

Since 2003, NBJC has been America’s leading national civil rights organization dedicated to the empowerment of Black lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer+, and same gender loving (LGBTQ+/SGL) people, including people living with HIV/AIDS through coalition building, federal policy change, research, and education.

For over 25 years CenterLink has been the go-to resource for LGBTQ community centers, providing support, resources, and technical assistance, and serving as a voice for this invaluable and vital movement.

With more than 300 members, it’s the world’s largest LGBTQ community-based network whose mission is to strengthen, support, and connect LGBTQ community centers to address the social, cultural, health, and advocacy needs of LGBTQ people.

OutRight Action International

To say the global LGBTIQ community faces challenges is an understatement.

OutRight International builds capacity of LGBTIQ movements, documents human rights violations, advocates for inclusion and equality, and holds leaders accountable for protecting the rights of LGBTIQ people everywhere.

With staff in over 10 countries and headquarters in New York, OutRight has recognized consultative status at the United Nations, where it acts as the Secritariat of the UN LGBTI Core Group, a group of more than three-dozen UN member states that advocate collectively for the human rights of LGBTIQ people.
