NEW ORLEANS, July 27, 2021 /CSRwire/ - Entergy Corporation and the Entergy Charitable Foundation have helped power stronger, healthier communities in 2021 by contributing more than $7.6 million to 763 nonprofit organizations across the company’s service area during the first two quarters of the year.
“As the economy begins to rebound and communities start to recover from the economic impact of COVID-19, we are mindful that those most significantly impacted – working families, low-income older adults and people with disabilities – are still hurting,” said Patty Riddlebarger, vice president of Entergy’s corporate social responsibility program. “By working in partnership with community nonprofits, our goal is to provide a hand up to those in greatest need.”
These grants provided funding and support for broad-based initiatives ranging from education and workforce development, to poverty solutions, the arts and community improvement initiatives in regions served by Entergy in Arkansas, Louisiana, Michigan, Mississippi, New York and Texas.
