A handshake says it all. Fifth Third and Everfi have collaborated to increase the financial knowledge of 500,000 students through two Fifth Third Finance Academy courses. On average, scores increased by 60% after participating in the financial education program and 90% after participating in the entrepreneurship program. Students reported increases in self-efficacy, feeling prepared to manage their financial and entrepreneurial lives, after participating in Finance Academy. Self-reported levels of engagement with the financial system (having a savings account, planning to open a checking account) increased among students after taking Finance Academy.
