GlobalMedic, a Canadian disaster relief charity, is distributing 55,000 pounds of aid in support of COVID-19 relief efforts in every province and territory in Canada. FedEx delivered the shipments for GlobalMedic, which included hygiene kits for more than 11,000 individuals, 4,600 liters of hand sanitizer, 22,000 surgical masks plus surgical gowns and gloves for frontline healthcare workers, disinfecting supplies and 20,000 bars of soap for First Nations communities in northern Ontario. GlobalMedic works with organizations helping at-risk people including children, seniors, the homeless and women in shelters.
