Easterseals Receives Grant From the EquallyAble Foundation to Support Services for People With Disabilities During Coronavirus Crisis

Easterseals, the nation’s leading nonprofit provider of services and advocacy for people with disabilities and their families, has received a $25,000 grant from the EquallyAble Foundation to support the Easterseals COVID-19 Relief Fund. The Fund has been established to assure continued delivery of critical home- and community-based services and supports by Easterseals’ Network of 68 Affiliates nationwide during the national public health crisis and throughout recovery.
“We are grateful to EquallyAble for supporting our COVID-19 Relief Fund in our mutual commitment to respond to the needs of the one in four people living with disability today – especially given the impact the Coronavirus pandemic is having on people with disabilities and their caregivers,” said Angela Williams, President and CEO of Easterseals, Inc.
EquallyAble Founder and President Mohammed Yousuf encouraged other organizations committed to people with disabilities including veterans and seniors to support the work of Easterseals nationwide through its COVID-19 Relief Fund. He added, “We are grateful to Easterseals for their century-long commitment to individuals with disabilities and their families, especially during times of crisis such as we are facing today that often have an overwhelming impact on the vulnerable populations for which Easterseals cares.”
