The Chief Administrative Officer of the House and Sodexo, the food service provider for the House of Representatives, partnered to add two new food options, Steak ‘n Shake and Jamba Juice, to the roster of House food services.

Steak ‘n Shake is home of the Original Steakburger^TM and the restaurant industry’s longest established brand in the premium burger and milkshake segment. Located adjacent to the Rayburn Cafeteria, this is the first Steak ‘n Shake restaurant in Washington, D.C. Jamba Juice is situated in the Longworth Building directly across from the Longworth Cafeteria. 

“The United States Capitol and the three House Office Buildings receive millions of visitors every year,” said Chief Administrative Officer Phil Kiko. “The ability to offer new dining options for visitors, as well as the thousands of staff and employees who work in the various member and committee offices, allows us to be more responsive to changing needs will still providing good food at reasonable prices.”

Within the past four years, House dining options have grown to include Dunkin Donuts, Subway, &Pizza and Au Bon Pain. In addition to existing cafeteria services, the expansion in branded food options allows visitors to enjoy some of the same options they have in their local communities.

The Steak ‘n Shake location is open to the public Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. in session and 7:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. out of session. Jamba Juice is open Monday through Friday 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. in session and 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. out of session.
