The Hispanic Association on Corporate Responsibility (HACR) is pleased to announce that its 2019 HACR Symposium: The Power of Hispanic Inclusion™ was one of the most successful programs in the organization’s history. The gathering took place May 5-7, 2019, at the JW Marriott Marquis in Miami.
The HACR Symposium brought together some of the nation’s most influential Hispanic corporate leaders, Fortune 500 executives, diversity and inclusion specialists, and stakeholders in the movement to advance Hispanic inclusion in Corporate America. The gathering included discussions, effective strategies, and models for achieving greater inclusion and participation of Hispanics in the areas of Employment, Procurement, Philanthropy, and Governance.

This year’s program which included An Executive Session with former U.S. Treasurer Rosie G. Rios, offered an inside glimpse into her personal and professional journey to the top and discussed the best career advice she ever received as well as her perspective on increasing the number of Latinos in power positions in Corporate America.
Other featured speakers included NBCUniversal Telemundo Enterprise Chairman, Cesar Conde and PepsiCo Global Chief Diversity & Engagement Officer, Umran Beba.
The CEO Roundtable is the flagship forum that has been part HACR Symposium for 13 years. AARP CEO, Jo Ann Jenkins; Carnival Corporation President and CEO, Arnold W. Donald; and PwC US Chairman and Senior Partner, Timothy F. Ryan, were the featured panelists. CNBC News Anchor, Bertha Coombs, served as moderator of the HACR CEO Roundtable.
The HACR Symposium concluded with the 2019 HACR Awards and Recognition Dinner where 40 HACR Young Hispanic Corporate Achievers™ were honored for their completion of this competitive program. Read more about the 2019 YHCA class in this press release.
