The Association of Corporate Contributions Professionals (ACCP) and Corporate Citizenship are pleased to announce registration is now open for The Measurement Academy. Beginning in spring 2014, The Measurement Academy is a combination of trainings, resources and consulting services delivered by ACCP and Corporate Citizenship that will educate individuals and companies on the LBG Model, which is managed by Corporate Citizenship and is internationally recognized as a global standard for measuring corporate community investment.

“Upon completion of our 18-month pilot program on the LBG Model earlier this year, we immediately began developing the training and resources which now make up The Measurement Academy,” said Mark Shamley, President and CEO at ACCP. “We dissected the learnings of the pilot program and divided the program offerings into two distinct tracks based off a participant’s previous knowledge of measurement. The beauty of this program is that, once a participant completes these programs, they will have the knowledge and tools necessary to begin using or expand the use of this measurement framework as a planning and assessment tool.”

The Measurement Academy is made up of two different program offerings. The Fundamentals of Measurement is a training program that will expose participants to the basics of the LBG Model and instruct attendees on how to “lay the groundwork” to begin measuring their own programs. It will guide participants through application of the model on a specific program of their choosing, including how to align NGO partners to meet company expectations. This program is designed for individuals with limited background in impact measurement.

The second, more advanced program offering of The Measurement Academy is called Evaluating Your Impact. This program is an enhancement to ACCP membership and consists of a tailored 12-month program administered by Corporate Citizenship. It will support participating companies in applying the LBG measurement framework enterprise-wide so as to demonstrate impacts of corporate community investments. Evaluating Your Impact will give participants the knowledge and tools needed to deploy the LBG model, benchmark against LBG’s global network and report more effectively on results achieved. The program offering includes full participation in LBG’s worldwide network.

“As our collaboration with ACCP grows, so does our excitement about combining the best practices of North America, Europe and the rest of the world for the betterment of corporate community investing,” said Mike Tuffrey, Co-founder of Corporate Citizenship. “The Measurement Academy is the conduit for increasing the business community’s capability to evaluate the impact of community investing.”

Each program offering will be delivered through a series of online virtual learning and in-person sessions. Interested individuals may visit www.TheMeasurementAcademy.org to learn more about the programs, schedules and costs.
