/PRNewswire/ - Project 7®, a cause-related company dedicated to changing people's lives through the power of consumer purchasing has named Scott Patt as its chief creative officer effective January 2, 2012. In this position, Patt will be in charge of directing and stewarding Project 7's comprehensive brand vision within the consumables landscape. He will report directly to Tyler Merrick, founder and chief executive officer of Project 7.

"Scott is one of the most talented creatives working with lifestyle brands today. Design, packaging and story are key elements of our brand," said Merrick.  "Bringing someone of Scott's caliber to oversee creative will allow us expand the impact of our 'products for good.'"

Patt worked within the Nike Inc. family from 1997 to 2011, where he had a diverse and notable career across multiple disciplines in Footwear, Apparel, and Brand Design and Nike's affiliate companies. Most recently, Patt was vice president of art for the surf lifestyle brand Hurley. From 2005 to 2010, Patt was a force in the revival and success of the Converse brand where he was creative director of footwear. Concurrently, since 1999, Patt has been a successful visual artist exhibiting his work worldwide from New York City, New York to Tokyo, Japan. Patt has a bachelor's of art from Penn State University and studied painting at the Barnstone Studios in Copley, Pennsylvania.
