Delta Dental companies making $1 donation for each Cause join up to $100,000 to help equip America's Dentists Care Foundation and Missions of Mercy Dental Clinics

LOS ANGELES, Jun. 20 /CSRwire/ - Calling all Facebook users: Delta Dental Companies is encouraging members of the social network to take up the fight to help thousands of your uninsured, fellow citizens get the dental care they need. In a Causes on Facebook campaign, Delta Dental is donating one dollar for each person who joins the Cause and is matching every dollar donated up to $100,000 (http://apps.facebook.com/causes/592898). Over $41,000 has been raised so far but more joiners are needed to make the campaign's goal.
The campaign, begun in March, is the result of a relationship brokered by social media philanthropy experts Social Reality. Funds raised will be used to purchase mobile equipment for the charity dental clinics of America's Dentists Care Foundation and America's Missions of Mercy (MOM), which provides care to underserved dental patients in 17 states. Since the first MOM events in 2000, dental volunteers have provided care to more than 100,000 people -- valued at more than $50 million.
"We are so thankful the more than 41,000 Facebook users who have already joined this Cause to help real people with a pressing health problem," said Christopher Miglino, Co-Founder and CEO of Social Reality.
