Clean Air Lawn Care has officially announced Wesley Neukam from Corpus Christi, TX as the winner of 'Opportunity 2011,' a contest created to give a rare opportunity to a hard working individual who wanted to start their own business, but lacked the means.

As the winner, Wesley will receive:

• Clean Air Lawn Care franchise, along with ongoing support, valued at $35,000.
• Lawn equipment donated by Black & Decker, valued at $1,000.
• Patagonia Clean Air Clothing, valued at - $200.

The contest was launched on October 11, 2010, with applications submitted online. After Clean Air Lawn Care narrowed it down to the top 10 contestants, they were then asked to submit a short video of themselves explaining why they deserved to win Opportunity 2011. There were then four finalists chosen from this group, and their videos were broadcast live for the public to vote on from December 3, 2010 through New Year's Eve at 5:00 PM. "We wanted to give the winner the good news on New Year’s Day," said Giard. "A new year, a new start"¦"

As shown in his video story, he and his family have had a particularly hard year with the loss of their daughter, Estella. Wesley is now looking forward to a new year and a new start to do something positive for his family and his community. Wesley is no stranger to operating a lawn care business. He has done it before. This time around he will be using an organic program that has a focus of being safe for families & pets and for improving the air quality in local communities.

With this opportunity, Wes is hoping to make good on a desire to give that he says he got from his grandmother, for whom Estella was named. Growing his own landscaping business is a passion that has stuck with him since age 13.
