SustainAbility Seeking New Director in London

The Position
Established in 1987, SustainAbility is a think tank and strategy consultancy working with corporate decision makers to achieve transformative leadership on the sustainability agenda. Our small, diverse team works globally from offices in London, New Delhi, New York, San Francisco, and Washington, DC.

We are looking for an exceptional candidate to join our management team based in London. This is an outstanding opportunity to work for a dynamic and passionate organization. The position will represent a key role not only in delivering existing think tank and consulting projects, but also infuse fresh thinking and strategies to deliver our vision of transformative change through business and markets.

The person appointed will have primary responsibility for our London office but will work closely with colleagues in our offices in the US and India. The ideal candidate will contribute strategically not only to our primary goal of making significant and measurable change in moving corporations toward sustainable business models, but also to building revenues through our research and consulting activities.

Key Skills & Competencies
During 2010, we have invested substantially in refreshing our brand identity; have launched a powerful new web platform; and have identified our forward Unique Value Proposition as 'Transforming Business.' Given the key role this position will play in building on these foundations for shaping the next phase of the corporate sustainability journey, we are looking for an exceptional individual with a proven track record in team leadership; business development; board level influencing skills; and a passion for our agenda. Significant experience in corporate responsibility and sustainability research and/or consulting is essential.

Other Details
This is a full time position based in our London office. Expected start date is early 2011. The salary for this position is commensurate with experience and qualifications but likely to be circa £80k plus bonus opportunities. In addition, we offer an attractive benefits package. After a suitable period, it is expected that the successful candidate will be offered the opportunity to acquire shares in the company.
