New Report Documents Greenpeace's Unethical Behavior and Hypocrisy

Piracy, Distortion of Facts, Slander, Pressure and Concoction of Events Documented and Exposed

/PRNewswire-USNewswire/ - The Consumers Alliance for Global Prosperity (CAGP) launched today a new report that documents the myths and distortions propagated by Greenpeace. The study documents the most telling examples of how Greenpeace has gone about a campaign of piracy, distortion, slander and pressure to achieve its narrow political objectives that hinder economic growth and keep developing nations shackled in poverty.

Announcing the study's release, CAGP's Andrew Langer stated, "Our consumer alliance has now documented the Greenpeace strategy and exposed it for what it is - a colonial style shakedown of poor countries and business. It is our hope that this report will make more people aware of the boorish and counterproductive agenda espoused by Greenpeace, an agenda that, if not fully refuted, would lead to a destitute future for millions in the developing world. In a time of great economic uncertainty, it's appalling to see Greenpeace promoting policies that lead to job losses, loss of income and pay little regard to efforts to stimulate job creation and growth in developing countries."

Langer continued, "Launching this report comes on the heels of a historic win for the forces that are pro-prosperity and work to promote working families throughout the globe following the Indonesian government's refusal to allow the Greenpeace warship into its ports. This is a tremendous victory for those opposed to this movement, and it reaffirms our commitment to speak the truth about Greenpeace and other pro-poverty Green for-profits."

The report, entitled, Environmental Colonialism: Greenpeace's Siege on the World's Poor, explains, "[Greenpeace's] strategies more often than not reduce economic growth. Its core strategies rest on the presumption that economic growth per se harms the environment. In developing countries, its strategies, if applied, would reduce standards of living and hinder, if not reverse, strategies to reduce poverty."
