Fenton has appointed Susan McPherson as Senior Vice President and Kasia Reterska as Account Director in its New York office. The two will further develop the firm’s Corporate Social Responsibility practice, which has a long tradition of working to align companies' business practices with a commitment to the public interest.

"Fenton was started as a firm with a unique offering - we would only work on communications campaigns that served the public. It's a natural for us to help guide companies in their legitimate CSR initiatives to make sure they have maximum benefit for the company and the communities and stakeholders they serve," said David Fenton, Founder and CEO.

Susan McPherson, Fenton's new Senior Vice President, joins following 15 years at PR Newswire, where she most recently served as Vice President, CSR Services. In this role, she was responsible for developing new services for communicators in the CSR marketplace and positioning the newswire as a thought-leader and leading participant in the growing industry. Most recently, she ran the firm's first virtual conference, Engage CSR: The Growth of CSR in a Socially Connected World, featuring sustainability experts from The Campbell Soup Company, Intel, Merck, The Ritz Carlton Hotel Company and Microsoft, attracting more than 1,000 attendees.

McPherson also works in the public sector as a member of the board of Bpeace, a nonprofit dedicated to providing pro-bono consulting to women entrepreneurs in Afghanistan, Rwanda, Bosnia and El Salvador. She also is a member of Echoing Green's Social Investment Council, the Clinton Global Initiative, and the New York Leadership team for 85 Broads. Additionally, she serves on the advisory board to JANERA and The OpEd Project. "Susan's arrival signals our renewed focus on the socially responsible business space and behavior change campaigns. Her skills and experience greatly complement the development of our corporate social responsibility practice," said Fenton's Chief Strategy Officer, Lisa Witter.

Kasia Reterska, joining Fenton as Account Director, was previously an account supervisor in Edelman's corporate social responsibility practice where she worked on a variety of public and private sector assignments. Prior to Fenton, she handled media relations for the International Center for Transitional Justice, an international human rights organization and for the Center for Alternative Sentencing and Employment.
