In a move to help solidify its presence in the growing premium private label towel and tissue market, North America's fourth largest producer of single-use paper, Cascades Tissue Group, announces the launch of its ultra-grade paper towels and premium-caliber bath tissue. The products, which will be initially sold through private labels in the United States, are already shipping in all industry standard sheet counts and roll sizes. Both lines offer a soft, embossed feel that gives consumers tremendous comfort, cushion and absorption.
The new line of premium bath tissue boasts a brilliant white look and performs as well or better than comparable offerings from best-selling competitors in terms of softness, absorbency, thickness, strength and appearance.
The paper towels have been proven to absorb as well as the industry leaders, something made possible by using a unique advanced technology that produces a Through-Air-Dry -equivalent, ultra-grade product, but uses significantly less energy in the process.
"Many people have high standards when it comes to the quality of their paper towels and bathroom tissue, and it’s rewarding to show that an environmentally advanced company can create such high-end paper products that provide maximum consumer comfort," said Suzanne Blanchet, President and CEO of Cascades Tissue Group.
Capitalizing on its 45-year history of leadership in green manufacturing innovation, Cascades derives three quarters of its overall materials from recycled fibers, thus avoiding cutting over 37 million trees each year. Additionally, the company achieves new lows year after year in air emissions, and represents one of very few papermakers to employ a team of engineering specialists for uncovering new and useful ways to consume less energy and reduce water usage
