For the fourth year in a row MBA students from across Canada and the United States are coming to Rotman School of Management at the University of Toronto to compete in a case competition focusing on corporate social responsibility (CSR).

The 4th Annual Rotman International Net Impact Corporate Social Responsibility Case Competition will take place on Saturday, February 13. Participants include teams from the University of Alberta School of Business, John Molson Business School at Concordia University, Drexel University, HEC Montreal, York University's Schulich School of Business, DePaul University McGill University's Desautels Faculty of Management, and Queen's University.

"The goal of this competition is to increase CSR awareness among future decision makers and to change the perception from CSR as a good deed to viewing it as an everyday part of corporate branding and strategy for firms," says Julia Koo, a Rotman MBA student and competition chair.

The case will deal with a problem facing multinational corporations and students must find a solution which best successfully deals with both the financial and social bottom lines.

Judges for the competition are drawn from a wide range of firms, social organizations and not-for-profit organizations.

The competition is generously supported by RIM, Steelcase, AIC Institute for Corporate Citizenship at the Rotman School, and Canadian Centre for Ethics and Corporate Policy

Complete details on the competition are available online at: http://www.rotman.utoronto.ca/csrcasecomp
