Actress Felicity Huffman has joined philosophy and the Entertainment Industry Foundation (EIF) to raise awareness and funds for the fight against women’s cancers. Huffman will star in a public service announcement that encourages people, beginning today, to visit www.showerforthecure.com, to add a line to philosophy's "unforgettable" poem "“ featured on the brand’s charity shower for the cure bath gel "“ and make a donation to the EIF’s Women’s Cancer Research Fund. Each line will represent a voice dedicated to saving lives and a woman whose fight will never be forgotten.

"For the past 13 years, charitable giving has been a founding principle of the philosophy brand. Our philosophy is you're going to shower anyway; why not shower for a cause," said Karolyn Stayer of philosophy. "Through shower for the cure we are proud to support the crucial work of the Women’s Cancer Research Fund and are delighted that Ms. Huffman is committed to this very important issue."

Actors Rita Wilson, Lisa Kudrow, Lori Laughlin, Angie Harmon, James Caan and others will also join the actress in this call to action by submitting their own poem lines to help raise awareness. At the conclusion of the campaign, all poem line submissions will be considered to appear on a special edition shower for the cure bath gel bottle available for sale in October 2010. philosophy created shower for the cure, a 3-in-1 shampoo, shower gel and bubble bath in 2002 and 100% of net proceeds of every bottle are donated to the EIF’s Women’s Cancer Research Fund. The product is available exclusively at www.philosophy.com.
