LOS ANGELES, August 12 /CSRwire/ - Though celebrities will be in attendance, volunteers and military families will be the real stars at Laemmle's Music Hall 3 from August 14 to August 20.

THE WAY WE GET BY, an inspirational film that showcases the power of volunteerism, will screen in the theater those days, and several non-profit organizations are transforming the premiere into a red carpet event.

The film follows three senior citizens who volunteer to greet troops coming to and from Iraq in a small airport in Bangor, Maine, highlighting the hope and sense of purpose they deem through volunteering. Despite hardships and the struggles they encounter as they age, the film illustrates that these individuals are truly empowered by serving.

L.A. Works, an affiliate of HandsOn Network is teaming up with the local chapter of Operation Homefront to recognize military families and volunteers who come to see the film in the theater. These organizations have collaborated to bring a red carpet to the theater and arrange for photo opportunities to honor the individuals who dedicate their lives to serving others.

Additionally, Mad Men's Rich Sommer and Emmy-nominated Jon Huertas will attend the premiere to express appreciation to the volunteers and support the project. Following each screening of the film, the producer and the director will host question and answer sessions for viewers. It is their hope that by watching THE WAY WE GET BY, others will be inspired to get involved in their communities and serve others.
