The "Radical Collaboration" between the companies has resulted in 3rdWhale turning over ownership of its US database to GenGreen to manage and maintain. In return, GenGreen has suspended all internal mobile application work and named 3rdWhale as its exclusive mobile developer.

Since mid 2007, GenGreen and their network GenGreenLife.com have been creating, with partners such as Green America and National Geographic, the largest database of verified green businesses and organizations in the US. After integrating 3rdWhale's substantial database, the combined 60,000 entries will constitute the largest and most comprehensive such resource in North America.
