Taylor succeeds Dave Olsen, senior vice president of Starbucks Culture and Immersion and the first leader of the CSR department. Olsen, who will work closely with Taylor during the transition of responsibilities, will retain responsibility for the Culture and Immersion function.
Taylor, who has served in her most recent position at Eastman Kodak Company since 1996, brings extensive international and domestic corporate social responsibility and government affairs experience to Starbucks. As a corporate officer, Taylor had overall responsibility for federal, state and international government relations. In addition, she managed the company’s Washington, D.C. government affairs office.
Additionally, she has held several senior leadership positions at top-tier organizations such as ICI Americas Inc., the American branch of Imperial Chemical Industries Plc., a British-owned chemical corporation. She also worked as a foreign service officer for the United States Department of State and as an attorney for Colorado’s third largest law firm, Gorsuch, Kirgis, Campbell, Walker and Grover.

Taylor received her bachelor of arts degree in French from Colorado Women’s College in 1972 and her Juris Doctor from Boston University School of Law in 1975. Taylor sits on many boards and community relations committees, including co-chair and founder of American and African Businesswomen’s Alliance and the Women’s Leadership Board for the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University.
