Goody's Family Clothing, Inc.
(Nasdaq: GDYS) and its associates raised more than $1 million for Children's
Miracle Network (CMN) affiliate hospitals during the Company's 1999/2000
fundraising campaign. The money was raised through a series of events
including sales of paper miracle balloons and CMN t-shirts, a chain-wide
dress-down day, and through associate and corporate contributions.
"We've chosen CMN as our primary corporate charity because it's a great
way for our company and our associates to make a solid difference in the lives
of children and families in the communities where we operate stores," said Bob
Goodfriend, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. "The program allows us to
partner with our customers to ensure that the best possible pediatric care is
available to all of our children -- and that's something our associates and
our customers feel good about."

Children's Miracle Network is an international non-profit organization
dedicated to helping children by raising funds for 170 affiliated children's
hospitals. Each year these hospitals help 14 million children afflicted with
illnesses and injuries of every kind, including cancer, AIDS, birth defects,
and trauma.
