Questia Awards $3.5 Million in Scholarships to Final Four Schools

Questia Media, Inc., today announces its $3.5 million Champion Award Program. In recognition of the academic and athletic excellence of the four schools that made it to the NCAA Final Four men's basketball championship, all students and faculty at Duke University, Michigan State University, the University of Arizona and the University of Maryland will be awarded scholarships to Questia, the first online library with a collection of over 35,000 books. More than 100,000 students and faculty at the four schools will receive the scholarship, in the form of a free subscription beginning April 12 and extending through May 31. The total value of Questia's donation is estimated at $3.5 million.
"We wanted to honor the schools whose scholar athletes led them to the Final Four - an impressive accomplishment that demonstrates the athletic skill and academic excellence necessary to achieve this level of performance," said Troy Williams, founder and CEO of Questia Media, Inc. In addition to recognizing the athletic and academic achievements of students on these campuses, Questia is honoring professors at the four schools who have contributed published works to the Questia site.
