NEW YORK, April 20, 2009 "“ KPMG LLP, the U.S. audit, tax, and advisory firm, announced today that it has been named to IDG's Computerworld's list of Top Green-IT Organizations for 2009. The firm ranks No. 7 on the list, which identifies 12 organizations that are implementing smart, efficient strategies to achieve green IT.

KPMG's green IT initiatives are part of its Living Green program, which seeks to reduce the amount of waste the firm generates and natural resources it consumes. KPMG's leading green IT practices include:
