SPRINGFIELD, MA "“ June 3, 2008 - Today CSRwire announces its sponsorship of The Green Media Show, one of the largest sustainable media conferences in the world.

The two day Boston-based event will provide a forum for people engaged in their company’s marketing and communication activities to learn how to grow, expand and defend their brand, and discuss the challenges and solutions facing today's management as they take on environmental concerns and sustainability reporting. The event will focus on specifics of how sustainability delivers profits to companies and how this knowledge can gain companies a pre-compliance advantage.

The Green Media Show is produced by SustainCommWorld, an educational company which conducts conferences, expositions and consulting activities focused on sustainability issues related to print and digital media and their supply chains.

"As a newswire focused on corporate social responsibility, events like the Green Media Show are completely in line with our mission." says CSRwire's Director of Operations Cindy Esposito. "Any time we can support an effort to promote more sustainable tools and resources for communicating a company's inititiaves, we will do so."

According to Lisa Wellman, CEO of SustainCommWorld, the event brings together more than twenty years of experience in Graphic Arts and Digital Media fields, with ample socializing and networking time.

"After 20 plus years of attending conferences and expos, we get to bring together the best of our experiences, terrific speakers and relevant topics, of course," says Wellman. "We've built-in opportunities to network at meals and receptions and Speed Networking and great pre-conference workshops. Even at a Conference not everyone wants to listen all the time so we’ve created Bonus Breakouts; limited seating sessions where "bird of a feather" can flock and dig into specific topics. Finally, attendees get to experience a "green" show as we bring unique ideas together they can take away to apply to their own in-person communication activities."

Wellman says sustainability is a journey, not a destination, and like communication, it's a process that must be continuously improved.

"Our context is making sustainability work for business leaders, brand owners, communication professionals and other stakeholders along the communication value chain," she says. "Thought leaders will delve into communication supply chain analysis and triple bottom line management. We'll address risk and cost reduction, environmental restoration and explore how to protect brand equity, create trust and grow shareholder value by aligning communication supply chain practices with the principles of sustainability. We all have a long and continuous road of discovery to travel and SustainCommWorld is a source and venue for education to empower sustainable communication in business."
