SAN FRANCISCO,CA - July 25, 2007 - Now in its 15th year, the Business for Social Responsibility (BSR) Annual Conference is the largest global gathering dedicated to corporate responsibility, attracting more than 1,000 people from over 40 countries. The 2007 Conference presents countless opportunities to interact with corporate leaders and innovative thinkers from civil society, the public sector and academia. Plenary Speakers this year include:

    "The needs and rewards of integrating sustainability into business strategy have never been so great," said Aron Cramer, President and CEO of BSR. "Our future depends on comprehensive solutions at the ever-changing intersection of business and society. With sustainability more firmly on the world's agenda than ever before, this year's Conference will focus on how to design innovative strategies to deliver the results we want and need."

    Topics on the Conference agenda include climate change and the environment, human rights, emerging economies, governance and transparency, and sustainable design. There will be a rich mix of three dozen breakout sessions and invigorating debate, with speakers from Calvert, Chevron, Dell, GlaxoSmithKline, Global Reporting Initiative, Human Rights Watch, MGM Mirage, Pacific Gas & Electric, Rainforest Alliance, Stellenbosch University-Centre for Chinese Studies, and dozens more.

    "We will provide a systemic approach to understanding issues, compelling business case studies and an honest dialogue and debate that zero in on future-focused strategies," said Cramer.

    In addition to the Conference, optional Pre-Conference Trainings will be offered October 23. Those who are interested may register for training workshops in Corporate Environmental Strategy, CSR Tools, Reporting, Stakeholder Engagement, Supply Chain Management, or Extractives Operations & Community Development.
