VANCOUVER, British Columbia - On October 23, a shortlist of 15 finalists will compete for the six 2002 BC Ethics in Action Awards. This year the awards will recognize leadership in the areas of Community Care, Environmental Excellence and Overall Ethics in Action Leadership. Awards will be given to both a small-to-medium sized business (under 250 employees) and a large company in each category.
The awards dinner will be held on Wednesday, October 23, at Vancouver's Commodore Ballroom. Single tickets are $75 and the price of a table of 10 is $675. Tickets can be purchased online at www.ethicsinaction.com, by emailing info@ethicsinaction.com or by phoning 604-323-2714.
The award winners in each category will be announced for the first time at the dinner. "The Ethics in Action Awards are designed to inspire business leaders to greater levels of innovation", says David Hughes of the Centre for Spiritual and Ethical Development, the award's other co-founder. "We're honoured to have had such a strong response to the awards this years. The 15 finalists all represent the best of what business can be."

The Ethics in Action Awards were created through a partnership between VanCity Credit Union and the Workplace Centre for Spiritual and Ethical Development.
