FACTORY 2-U STORES Donates $150,000 Profit from Sales of T-Shirts to American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund

SAN DIEGO, California - FACTORY 2-U STORES, INC. (Nasdaq:FTUS) today announced in conjunction with the Fourth of July Holiday weekend a donation of $150,000 to the American Red Cross National Disaster Relief Fund resulting from all the profits realized from the sale of "Patriotic T-shirts" in the Company's stores. These shirts reflect the intense outpouring of National Spirit that has awakened in the Country.

Mike Searles, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer commented, "As a Company and as Americans, this is our way to remember on this important day all the heroes of September 11, 2001 who will be with us in spirit as we celebrate our Country's Independence Day."

FACTORY 2-U STORES, INC. operates 258 "Factory 2-U" off-price retail stores which sell branded casual apparel for the family, as well as selected domestics and household merchandise at prices which generally are significantly lower than the prices offered by its discount competitors.
