LONDON, England - Luscious Organic, the UK and London’s first chain of hip not hippy organic corner store chain is for sale as part of a move by key shareholders to develop other aspects of the organic industry market.

Luscious Organic - the brainchild of Alison Rose and Tony Guy- consists of hip corner stores offering customers everything they would buy in a normal corner store but in organic form. As well there is an organic juice bar and grab and go unit attached together with help yourself salad bar.

"The concept was to make organics affordable and accessible and we’ve done that. The store designs in Kensington and Fulham - both prominent locations have been designed not to look like health food stores offering customers an upmarket funky organic corner store experience including the use of bright colour schemes, uniformed staff with name badges, stainless steel shelving and a range of more than1000 products."

"The chain which also includes a store in Paddington about to be made over from a café to an organic café and a unit within the Waterloo Underground offering organic juices and products gives ‘organic hungry customers’ access to a unique range of products in stores ‘just around the corner’ or accessible on their way to or from work. The brand name has significant recognition with excellent customer return rates."

The company already has a number of other sites in mind and has been approached to license and franchise the concept both here in the UK and overseas including Canada, USA, Australia and Japan.

Since establishing the business we have done a masters in business development and organics. We get calls from all over the world wanting us to open here, there and everywhere and our research shows there is another niche we can use which is focussing organic markets and producers on areas their product would sell in and also developing organic products into banded ranges including everything from affordable organics to high end produce.

In our organic corner stores we have things like a special wash basin so people can wash their organic fruit and veggies, customers can pick their fruit and veggies and we will then also juice them into litre bottles made to their recipe t take home. Other innovations include info flyers; customer suggestion sheets, our affordable range and ensuring customer demands are met. We even offer a price match policy!

Having successfully developed the retail side we are now looking at a more global concept and to do that have to part with the organic retail or license it to a prospective investor.
