CONCORD, CA. – Inglenook Vineyards will donate $10,000 to the Pennsylvania Breast Cancer Coalition at a private presentation ceremony on December 16. Pennsylvania First Lady Kathy Schweiker, PBCC Honorary Chair, will host the event at the governor’s residence in Harrisburg. Inglenook donated a portion of October sales in Pennsylvania during National Breast Cancer Awareness Month to raise the $10,000 for this important cause.

The PBCC, founded in 1993, is a non-profit grassroots organization that speaks to and for breast cancer survivors. Its mission is to find a cure for the disease and improve the quality of breast cancer education, research and outreach in the state. “The Pennsylvania Breast Cancer Coalition is a great organization with a strong commitment to medical research and education,” said Brendan Monaghan, District Manager for Inglenook and Canandaigua Wine Company. "Inglenook Vineyards is proud to be a partner with them and the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board in this effort.”

David Lippey (Regional Manager Northeast for Canandaigua Wine Company) will present the $10,000 check to PBCC President and Founder Pat Halpin-Murphy on behalf of Inglenook Vineyards.

Recent studies show that breast cancer is the leading form of cancer in women, and this year more than 12,000 Pennsylvania women will be diagnosed with the disease. With its large number of consumers, Inglenook – a Canandaigua Wine Company brand that sells nearly 5 million cases of wine each year – hopes to raise public awareness of the disease and support a cure.

Canandaigua Wine, the world's second largest wine company, satisfies millions of consumers nationwide by providing quality wines for the enjoyment of everyday life. Canandaigua Wine produces, markets and sells more than 40 well-known brands. Leading table wine brands include Alice White, Almaden, Columbia, Covey Run, Dunnewood, Inglenook, Talus and Vendange.
