Epson's Environmental Newsline Declares Solders Used in In-House Manufacturing Process 98.6% Lead Free

WHAT: Five years ago Epson established a goal to become a
"lead-free" company. In today's issue of Environmental
Newsline, Volume 2 (http://www.eea.epson.com), the company
nears that goal and announces it is now using 98.6% lead-free
solders for in-house manufacturing capabilities, and
purchasing 40% lead-free parts.

WHY: Epson believes it needs to protect the Earth's ecosystem
through environmental innovation while delivering quality
products designed for the future.
