LONDON - The largest gathering in the UK of business delegates meeting to explore the emerging challenges in corporate responsibility will take place at Business in the Community's two day Annual Conference on the 5-6 July in London.

A highlight of the event is Business in the Community's Awards for Excellence Gala Dinner, on 5 July at the Royal Albert Hall in London, where the most inspiring examples of businesses impact on society will be celebrated.

This year's Awards will be hosted by Jim Naughtie, Today Programme, BBC and Jon Culshaw of Dead Ringers and will feature a special performance by Chicken Shed Theatre Company and the African Children's Choir.

Keynote speeches at the conference include:

  • Sir Nigel Rudd, Chairman, Boots
  • Christopher Hyman, Chief Executive of Serco
  • Dianne Thompson, Chief Executive of Camelot Group PLC
  • Mike Rake, International Chairman of KPMG
  • Dotti Hatcher, Senior Director, GAP Inc
  • Cilia Snowball, Chairman AMVBBDO

    The conference, attracting around 400 delegates, will this year focus on how accountable a company is to its customers.
