The discussion will successfully strengthen the industries ability to respond to challenges imposed by outside organisations and effectively maintain and progress their current corporate social responsibility strategies.
Stakeholders are increasingly more sceptical of a company's ability to meet the demands of consumers, investors and activists. With this recent wave of mis-trust, the Round Table Discussion will encourage companies to "have their say" and affect change in their industry to create positive outcomes for their business, industry and society.
Companies will demonstrate that they are taking the appropriate action in dealing with global health issues and understand the critical role they have to play in relation to public health.
CSR Data Networks, the discussion organisers said "The discussions go beyond just learning and networking. They are about initiating change, sharing knowledge, developing partnerships and addressing business challenges to achieve success."
Leading industry associations, non-governmental organisations, governmental bodies and financial institutions will take part in the Pharmaceutical Industry Round Table Discussion on Corporate Social Responsibility in London, UK on 19-20 June, 2003.
