EPA Administrator Christie Whitman Honors National Environmental Performance Track Members

EPA Administrator Christie Whitman will recognize Performance Track members for their excellence as national environmental stewards at the 2003 National Environmental Performance Track Members Event on April 9. The EPA Performance Track program, comprised of select public and private facilities or organizations, voluntarily go beyond regulatory requirement to attain high levels of measurable environmental benefits. In addition, Administrator Whitman will present the first annual Performance Track Outreach Awards and release the first program progress report. At the event, EPA officials will speak on the latest program and agency developments; exchange information about best practices in environmental management; conduct panel and break-out sessions focused on issues of supply chain management, product design and stewardship, and performance measurement.
