SAN DIEGO, CA - eHelp(TM) Corp., the makers of RoboHelp(R), today announced the commencement of its Academic Software Donation Program, committing a total of $12,000,000 worth in RoboDemo(R) eLearning Edition tutorial software to accredited colleges and universities across the nation. With RoboDemo, faculty can record the use of any application running on their desktop, and instantly create a movie in Flash format with visible and audible mouse clicks without having to learn Flash technology. Simulations created with RoboDemo can be easily enhanced by adding captions and images, audio, interactive text entry and click boxes, hyperlinks and special effects. Users can also add eLearning-specific features like quizzing, scoring and branching.

By participating in the Academic Software Donation Program, faculty will have the ability to easily develop professional eLearning curriculum. Schools can utilize their donated copies of RoboDemo in various ways, such as creating tutorials that teach end users how to master any software program, register for classes online, fill out Web-based forms and effectively navigate a school's Web site.

"As a commitment to furthering the development of eLearning at the university level, we are inviting every accredited college and university in the country to take part in the RoboDemo Academic Software Donation Program," said Jorgen Lien, cofounder and CEO of eHelp Corp. "With this program, schools nationwide have the opportunity to approach education through a new medium, thus furthering the use of technology in education."

At University of California, San Diego (UCSD), the first participant in eHelp's Academic Software Donation Program, administrators and educators are creating RoboDemo simulations designed to expand academic outreach to students, and to explain business and financial services to employees and college-bound youth. UCSD is also geared to implement RoboDemo at the Hewlett-Packard funded Tribal Digital Village, which links San Diego County's 18 Indian Reservations through digital wireless connections.

"We are finding RoboDemo to be a tremendously valuable program, and one with applications far beyond what one normally sees in software donations," said Gabriele Wienhausen, Cal-(IT)2's Education layer leader at UCSD and provost of the university's newest undergraduate Sixth College. "We are very pleased to be able to participate in eHelp's Academic Software Donation Program, and look forward to extending the use of RoboDemo to benefit both students and faculty. RoboDemo is an extremely powerful application for creating tutorials and demos that makes Flash technology available to a wide range of users."

About the RoboDemo eLearning Edition

The RoboDemo eLearning Edition makes building interactive and animated software simulations in Flash format a simple task. Simulations are ideal for online training, demonstrating products or providing user support tutorials. The familiar PowerPoint style interface makes editing a breeze, allowing the user to edit any element within a movie, frame by frame, so they never have to rerecord an entire project. RoboDemo simulations also dramatically enhance online Help systems and Web site usability by offering end users a visual, step-by-step demonstration on how to accomplish specific tasks.

Platforms Supported by RoboDemo

The software tutorials and demos created with eHelp's RoboDemo run on Windows from Microsoft Corp. (Nasdaq:MSFT), MAC OS X from Apple Computer Inc. (Nasdaq:AAPL), and Linux on IBM Corp. (Nasdaq:IBM) and other flavors of Linux. In addition, RoboDemo tutorials run on handheld devices supporting Flash from Macromedia Inc. (Nasdaq:MACR), such as Nokia (NYSE:NOK).
