Ribbon cutting ceremony for the grand opening of a new on-site pharmacy designed specifically to help employees of the Principal Financial Group save time and money
WHEN:
Monday May 1, 2006, at noon, with an open house following the ribbon cutting
WHO:
The following individuals will be on hand for interviews:
-- Jim Devries, senior vice president of Human Resources, the Principal Financial Group
-- Carey Jury, senior vice president of the Health Division, the Principal Financial Group
-- Employees of the Principal Financial Group
WHY:
The Principal Financial Group is making available an on-site pharmacy to its more than 9,000 Des Moines-area employees and retirees at its corporate campus. This latest amenity will offer prescription and over-the-counter medication, as well as various sundries. Caremark, a leading provider of pharmaceutical services that manages pharmacy benefits for the Principal Financial Group, will operate the CareCenter Pharmacy.
On-site pharmacists will be familiar with the company's health care plans and will provide suggestions to help employees who participate in the company's medical or prescription drug plan minimize their prescription costs.

The third floor of Corporate One, 711 High Street, the Principal Financial Group
Media should check in with security at the main entrance, where they will be escorted to the CareCenter Pharmacy. Metered parking is available along 8th Street.
